2016

  • A Two-day National Seminar on “Secularism – An Edifice in Indian Context” was conducted on 15th and 16th October, 2016. The Seminar was inaugurated by Hon’ble (Dr.) Justice B.S Chauhan, Chairperson, Law Commission of India. A special address was delivered by Hon’ble Justice K. T Sankaran, Judge, High Court of Kerala.

  • On 15th August, 2016 a program on “Values Never Fade- Phase II, Right to Live with Human Dignity” was launched. The program was launched by Sri. B. G Harindranath, Law Secretary, State of Kerala at the function presided over by Prof. (Dr.). Rose Varghese, Vice Chancellor, NUALS.

  • The Centre for Continuing Legal Education and Extension in collaboration with the Centre for Law and Agriculture organized a One-day Awareness Camp for members of neighborhood groups falling within the Kalamassery Municipality, CDS of Kudumbashree Mission on 17th March, 2016.

2015

  • The Centre for Continuing Legal Education and Extension conducted a Legal Aid Camp in Attapadi on 11th April, 2015. The Legal awareness sessions started on the topic ‘Right to Livelihood’, with special focus on ‘Right to Food and Health’.

2014

  • The Centre for Continuing Legal Education and Extension conducted a State Level Workshop and Conference on ‘Revamping Clinical Legal Education in Kerala’ on October 17 & 18, 2014 at NUALS Seminar Hall. The State Level Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. S Gopakumaran Nair, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India. The Keynote Address was delivered by Prof. (Dr). K N Chandrasekharan Pillai, Former Director, National Judicial Academy. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Abraham Mathew, Judge, High Court of Kerala, Hon’ble Mr. Justice P. S. Gopinathan, Former Judge, High Court of Kerala and Shri. U. Sharathchandran, Former Member Secretary, N.A.L.S.A., Shri. B.G. Harindranath Additional Director, Kerala Judicial Academy, Ms. Shoma Chaudhury Co-founder, Tehelka and Ms. Jayshree Satpute, Advocate, Supreme Court of India addressed and enlightened the participants on different themes.

2013

  • The Centre for Continuing Legal Education and Extension launched a project to ‘Rejuvenate the fading value system in the light of Gandhian thought and Constitutional values’, on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration on the 2nd of October, 2013. The Project was launched by Hon’ble Mr. Justice K. T. Sankaran, Judge, High Court of Kerala, in the Session presided over by Prof. (Dr.) M. C. Valson, Honorary Director, Centre for Environment and Law, NUALS. The Centre also conducted a Quiz Competition on ‘Gandhian Philosophy and Constitutional values’ on the same day.
  • CCLEE conducted a National Workshop on ‘Empowering the Fourth Estate’ on 3rd of October, 2013. Shri. P.D.T. Achari, Former Secretary General, Lok Sabha, inaugurated the workshop in the Session presided over by Prof. (Dr.) M. C. Valson, Honorary Director, Centre for Environment and Law, NUALS.

  • National Seminar on "Uniform Civil Code: Problems and Perspectives", in association with The Kerala state Legal Services Authority and the Bar Council of Kerala, from March 22-23. The seminar was inaugurated by Justice Cyriac Joseph, Judge [Rtd.] Supreme Court of India.

2012

  • National Seminar on "Drug Trial and Human Rights" in association with Jananeethi Trissur, on August 12. The seminar was inaugurated by Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan of the Kerala High Court, while NUALS Vice- Chancellor N K Jayakumar presided over the function. Oncologist Dr V P Gangadharan delivered the keynote address.

  • National Seminar on "Right to live with human dignity - Say no to Drinks and Drugs" on February 15, 16. Excise Minister K. Babu inaugurated the Centre for Continuing Legal Education and Extension at National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) campus on Kalamassery on February 15. On the occasion, a medical camp was inaugurated by K G R Mallan, superintendent, Cooperative Medical College. The seminar sessions where held on Thursday, February 16 handled by a number of medico legal experts.
